Danny Dale Asher, 76, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan died on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his home in Cebu Philippines.
Danny was born August 31, 1949, in Leslie Kentucky, the son of Jessie and Linda (Allen) Asher. He lived in many places from Kentucky to Virginia and North Carolina. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army. After the service he was employed in Security at the Kellogg Company for several years. He also drove a school bus for Knotts Island Schools.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Paradine-Asher on June 15th, 2019. Surviving his current wife, Melodie (Barabas) Asher in Cebu, Philippines; four grandchildren, Brittany (Nicholas) Barnard, Jessie Kissinger, Sadie Hall, Thane Kissinger all of Battle Creek; four great-grandchildren, Zedidiah, MaKenna, Scarlett, Lillianne; a brother, Matt (Amanda) Asher of Battle Creek; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by two children, Timothy Asher, Robert Asher, Sr.; two sisters, Tina Parnell, Joyce Bess; a brother, Billy Asher; and a grandson Robert Asher, Jr.
Danny enjoyed traveling. He was a handyman and a micro-manager and critic of others doing work he couldn’t. He enjoyed working in his yard, landscaping and enjoying his pool. He also enjoyed trying new restaurants and with his outgoing personality everyone knew the good, the bad and the ugly. Danny will be remembered for his dedication and unconditional love for his family.
A memorial service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care in Battle Creek 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Fort Custer National Cemetery all volunteer Honor Guard will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
