Darrell W. Samis

Darrell W. Samis, 66, of Paw Paw, died November 17, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side. Darrell was born June 9, 1954 in Kalamazoo to Dean and Sally (Arnette) Samis. He graduated from Iron County High School and worked as an autobody repairman. He worked at the Dowling Body Shop with his father where he was a painter.

Darrell was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a true people person.

Darrell is survived by his two sons, John (Amy) Samis and Bradley McKelvey; two grandchildren, Taylor Bui-Samis and Brayden Samis; two sisters, Lila (Gene) Labar and Becky Stienbreck and a brother, Jason Samis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deanna Dams.

Funeral services to celebrate Darrell's life will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
