Darrell A. "Don" Wilson

Darrell A. "Don" Wilson, age 78, of Battle Creek sadly passed away on Wednesday evening, December 23, 2015 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Battle Creek. Don was born in Tilden, Illinois on April 22, 1937, the son of Ardell and Hazel (Jones) Wilson and faithfully served his country for more than 23 years with the United States Navy, retiring in 1974. Don truly enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his wife, Robin and helping as her "D.J. Roadie".

Don married Robin G. Willavize in Las Vegas, NV on September 7, 2005; she survives. He is also survived by a sister, La Dona (Larry) Weekley; 5 step-children and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Don was sadly preceded in death by his first wife of more than 35 years, Dolores Wilson.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. Family & friends will continue the celebration of Don's life with a light luncheon and time of fellowship at the American Legion Post #298, 228 N. 20th Street, Battle Creek, immediately following the cemetery service.
