David Lynn Dake, 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away July 1, 2022.

David was born on September 1, 1955 to James Donald Dake and C. Nadine Coffman in Battle Creek, Michigan. David married Nancy Ann Clapper, in 1978.

David was predeceased by his mother in 2021, and his father in 2022. He is survived by siblings, Eugene (Shellie) Dake, Kathy (Gregory) Hoxie, and Brian (Rebecca) Dake.

In 2020 David retired from a career driving a semi-truck. Prior to that, he was a baker for Bill Knapp's Restaurant for 20 years. David had a giving heart and an unending desire to help people. He loved his wife and family. He enjoyed serving in various capacities in his church, always aiming to glorify God to the best of his ability.

Services to celebrate David's life will take place at Battle Creek First Church of the Nazarene. The family will gather with friends at the church on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Tanner Griffin and brother, Rev. Brian Dake officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1490 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014. Memorial contributions can be made to Battle Creek First Church of the Nazarene, 12866 Beadle Lake Road, Battle Creek, MI 49014.
