David Mark Finney

David Mark Finney, 49, of Battle Creek died suddenly at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Dave was born December 18, 1970 in Whitesburg, Kentucky the son of Richard L. and Sandra Jean (Harnish) Finney. He was currently employed as a Tugger for FedEx Ground in their Kalamazoo facility.

Surviving are his son, Nicholas Richard "Nick" Finney of Battle Creek; a grandson, Milo Richard Finney; his mother, Sandra J. Finney of Battle Creek; a brother, Jeffrey (Nancy) Finney of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Sherry (Ed) Knauss of Bellevue, Rebecca "Becky" Gearhart (Jim) of Kalamazoo; a niece, Cassie; and four nephews, Tim, Levi, Luke and Brad. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Richard in 2007.

Dave enjoyed fishing, especially with his son, Nick. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, enjoyed watching football and followed NASCAR. He loved his family and playing with his dog, Nico.

A graveside service to celebrate Dave's life will be officiated by Pastor Tom Townsend at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020. The public is invited and asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.
