David Michael "Dave" Hamblin of Richland, MI

David passed away at his home in Richland, surrounded by his loving family, in the late afternoon on Friday, the 19th of October, 2018.

David was born on April 18th, 1959 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He attended Barbour Hall Boys Military School and was employed at the Gull Road Meijer's as a greeter for 18 years, until his recent retirement.

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert and his brother, Bobby. Surviving are his mother Nancy Vandersalm of Richland and a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Colin Kennedy of Bloomfield Hills, MI and their children Madeline, Alex and Olivia. He is also survived by a special significant other, Denice VanAvery, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. David will be dearly missed by many, many friends. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar and shopping at flea markets. He also was preceded by his best friend, Molly.

The family will greet friends at a visitation on Wednesday, October 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Farley, Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9107 East D Avenue (M-89). The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Living Hope Community Church, 9292 East CD Avenue, Richland 49083 with Rev. Todd J. TerAvest, Pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in the Enzian family lot in Cressey Cemetery, Prairieville Township of Barry County. Family and friends will return to the Church for fellowship and a luncheon immediately following the committal service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church (see address above).
