David Mcpeters

David Allan (Pete) McPeters, 59, of Battle Creek, died Monday, July 30, 2018. Pete was born Novemebr 15, 1958 in LaPorte, IN to David and Marie Louise (Dubbert) McPeters. Pete attended Battle Creek Central High School and worked at Ralston Cereal Company for 21 years before retiring in 1995.

Pete enjoyed bowling, basketball, baseball and hunting. He wrestled and coached his children's softball/baseball teams. He loved the Chicago Bears, Detroit Tigers and collecting bears.

Pete married the former Kathryn Zuck on February 16, 1996 in Battle Creek, who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, David (Petie) McPeters of Battle Creek and Anthony (Sheila) McPeters of Lansing; five daughters, Tira McPeters of Battle Creek, Stacie (Jamie) Holton of Battle Creek, Stephanie (Johnny) dela Torre-Vavra of Dowling, Tiffany Buskirk of Bellevue and Kacee McPeters of Stafford, Virginia; his father, David R. McPeters; a brother, John (Oscar) McPeters of Battle Creek; four sisters, Karen (Daniel) McDonald, Eloise McPeters, Darla McPeters and Nichole (Tony) Jones, all of Battle Creek; 23 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his close friend, Douglas (Mary Kay) Freeze.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Marie; a son, Mathias Case; a grandson, Mathias Case Jr. and a close friend, Timothy J. Erskine.

Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Pete's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, officiated by Pastor James L.
