David "Dave" James Telfer, Age 62, of Richland, Michigan
Dave passed away on Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022 at Bronson hospital in Kalamazoo with his wife and child by his side. His death followed a tragic vehicle accident that occurred the week before. Dave was born on January 22, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was the son of James and Norma (Hazel) Telfer. He was a lifelong resident of the area, graduated Gull Lake High School in 1979 and resided in his family home in Richland. David was a member of the Omen, Hoffman, Hazel and Phelps families. He worked in the plumbing trade most of his life, traveling the US pursuing this trade starting in his early 20's. His hobbies included rock, bottle, and marble collecting of which he had fond memories and stories that he loved to share. Dave also collected stamps and enjoyed the memories of sharing this hobby with his mother and later, his wife. Dave also enjoyed playing the guitar, loved the outdoors, traveling, spending time at his aunt, Laurel Hazel's cabin in Kalkaska, Michigan, and most of all spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Fitzsimmons) Telfer and child, Destiny "Levi" Warren, both of Richland. Also surviving are his sister, Diane Double and his aunt, Laurel Hazel. Dave was loved and treasured by his friends and family. A memorial service to celebrate Dave's life will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Word for Life Church in Comstock, Michigan.
