David Lee Titus

David Lee Titus, 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 11, 2024 after battling cancer. 

David was born March 2, 1957, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald Edward and Jenny Mae (Hare) Titus. He was a 1976 graduate of Pennfield High School. Dave was employed at WOTV 41 for 34 years and then as a forklift driver for Toyota Tsusho of America, Inc. 

Surviving are his siblings, Jeff Titus of Battle Creek, Gerald E. (Carol) Titus of Detroit, Randy (Brenda) Titus of Three Rivers, Charlie (Cindy) Titus of Florida, Mary (Jim) McLeod of Bellevue; a sisters-in-law, Tania Titus, and two aunts Virginia Hare and Beth Carlisle, all of Battle Creek; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. David was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Martin "Mike" Titus, Andrew A Titus, Sr., Andrew A. Titus, Jr., Gary Titus and Larry Titus.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable garden. After growing the vegetables, David picked them and took them to senior residences in Battle Creek. He loved working on his 67 Chevy Chevelle SS. David will be remembered as the most generous and loving person in the world. He never disrespected anyone, never swore and was like an angel from heaven. 

Friends will be received 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Battle Creek. A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Steven Olmstead 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Hicks West Pennfield Cemetery.
