David A. Wilson, 81, of Delton, died May 29, 2025. David was born June 10, 1943 in Ithaca, NY to David and Virginia (Lester) Wilson. He graduated from Trumansburg High School (New York) in 1961 and went on to Rochester Institute of Technology where he received his electrical engineering degree. He retired in 2010 from Graphic Packaging as superintendent of the powerhouse. David married the former Cathie Wheeler on July 18, 1981. After his retirement, David and Cathie moved to Guernsey Lake. David was a “silent” partner of Distinctive Stitches Needlework shop.

David is survived by his loving wife, Cathie; a stepdaughter, Wendy (Nouggle) Henry; in-laws, Steve (Leigh) Wheeler, Barbara Myers and Mary Mays and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a proud coach of Wendy during her softball years. He was even selected to coach the all-star team at Eastwood. He was a lifetime member of the National Association of Power Engineers and taught many classes for them over the years. David was an avid reader and was knowledgeable on many topics. He loved watching the sandhill cranes at Guernsey Lake and yelling at Fox News TV.

Per David’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to Centrica Rose Arbor Place, Kalamazoo.
