Deborah "Debbie" Frantz

October 30, 1955 — June 28, 2025

Battle Creek

Deborah Mae “Debbie” Frantz, born on October 30, 1955, in Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends, after battling illness over the years and a brief battle with Cancer.

Debbie was a proud graduate of the Pennfield High School Class of 1974. Throughout her life, she worked diligently, dedicating many years to Snap Preschool and later at Kmart until its closing. Her warm and caring nature was evident in everything she did, especially in her passion for crafting and helping others. She found joy not only in her creative endeavors but also in traveling to Tennessee with her friend Hellen and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Worthington; her brothers, Ron, Kenneth Jr., and William Worthington; and her cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Justina, Kendrick, Markus, Mahayla Worthington, and Richard Frantz II. Defined by her loving spirit, Debbie was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews, including Talona Vasquez, Angie Bernal, and Valerie Worthington, along with their brothers Kenneth, Samuel, Kristopher, and Matthew Worthington. A special friend, Hellen remains a constant source of comfort and companionship.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Patricia Worthington; her daughter, Katherine Worthington; her son, Richard Erven Frantz; and her great-grandson Jaylen Worthington.

While Debbie’s time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she left behind will stay in our hearts forever. Her strength was anything but quiet she was bold, fearless, and never afraid to speak her mind. And in true Debbie fashion, she stayed just as stubborn and strong-willed all the way to the end. She had a fire in her spirit and a heart full of love, always making those around her feel cared for. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, her spirit lives on in the love she shared and the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
