Debra Sue Hammock

Debra Sue "Debbie" Hammock, age 67, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday morning, September 12, 2020. She was born in Battle Creek on June 12, 1953, the daughter of Levi A. and Eleanor (Wygant) Hammock and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Debbie retired from Mercy Pavilion where she worked as a CNA for several years and then worked as a security guard at 40 Cal Kennels.

Debbie is survived by her son, Tony Hammock of Battle Creek; her granddaughters, Tonya Marie Spencer, Zana Sophine Anderson, Zara Samone Anderson, Zanae Sharee Anderson, and Adrionna Eleanor Chidester; her great-granddaughter, Sky Eleanor Anderson; her brother, Gerry Hammock; and her sister, Carol Goins. She was sadly preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald Wayne Hammock and Ralph Edward Hammock, and two sisters, Joan Delores Dishman and Shirley Ann Hammock.

Debbie enjoyed singing, dancing, playing Bingo, socializing with her friends, and her activities at the PACE program. She truly enjoyed her trip to Florida with her brother and talked about it for several years after. Debbie will be greatly missed!
