Delos L. "Dee" Nash

Delos L. “Dee” Nash, 90, of Battle Creek, died May 21, 2023.  Dee was born November 29, 1932 in Nashville, MI to Buearl and Gladys (Reid) Nash.  He graduated from Lakeview High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. Dee was a dedicated employee at Battle Creek Feed & Grain, working for 50 years, retiring in 1998. 

Dee married the former Marion Standley on February 2, 1961.  The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage before her passing in 2021.  Dee was a former member of the Hope Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed collecting trains. 

Dee is survived by two daughters, Annette (Carl) Olson and Deborah (Marty) Merritt; two sons, Ken (Vanessa) Sackett and Delos (Noni) Nash, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and a sister, Ortha (Richard) Brininstool.  Dee was preceded in death by his wife, Marion and two brothers. 

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  Funeral services to celebrate Dee’s life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 26 at Hope Church of the Nazarene.  Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial donations may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
