Dianne M. (Haas) Southworth

Dianne M. Southworth, 83 of Battle Creek died at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility on Friday, December 26, 2014, after a brief illness.

She was born August 12, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Byron and Ercil (Sweeney) Haas. Dianne grew up in Philadelphia and came to Battle Creek after her marriage.

Dianne married Rex A. Southworth on July 14, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex on October 17, 2001; by a brother, sister and a grandson-in-law, David Vincent II. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Hainer of Battle Creek, Lori (Steven) Szarejko of Athens; three grandchildren, Michele Vincent, Andrew (Marilyn) Szarejko, Joel (Bricelyn) Szarejko and three great-grandchildren.

Dianne enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, nature and all of God's creatures, especially her cats.

A memorial service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
