Dolores Ann Barasa Hugo, 84, of Battle Creek, passed away April 9th, 2015.
She was born in Negaunee, Michigan, October 13,1930. She grew up being a true "Yooper," never missing an opportunity to travel back for family visits after marriage.
Dolores was united in marriage to WWII former pilot Charles W. Hugo, and for over 50 years, enjoyed garage sales, running estate sales, cooking together for a catering service. She once had a playing table and played games such as Bridge, Canasta, Rummy and more.
Ever so eager to be of help to others, she and Charlie performed many a mission trip on their own to needy children in remote areas of North Carolina and other states where they were aware a need was present. She busily collected clothing, household items and furniture to assist not only the children but the parents as well.
Dolores has a wide spectrum of friends and was proud to have been known by all as an excellent cook, true friend and great wife to Charlie.
She is predeceased by her parents, sister and husband Charlie. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends who will miss her smile, zest for life and caring.
