Dolores T. (Myers) Powers

May 4, 1933 — October 26, 2017

Dolores Teresa Powers, born in Battle Creek, Michigan May 4,1933 to Victor Henry Myers and Teresa Louise (Weimer) Myers was taken from this earth to a restful, peaceful place on October 26, 2017 after suffering thru a hip surgery due to a fall.

"Dee" met "HER FIRST LOVE" and father of her 3 children, William (Bill) Wolfe and moved to Arkansas. There she learned about farming, raising chickens and that Old Southern Gospel music that she enjoyed very much and would sing to any chance she had.
Her marriage ended in divorce. She was married and divorced 2 more times till she met "THE LOVE OF HER LIFE", William (Bill) Wines that she lived happily with for the next 25 years until his death. They would drive around the countryside (as she called it) just looking at "this and that". They lived in Bumblebee Hollow and had many close friends there and a lot of good times.

Dee made friends easily and had many that she met thru her 20 years at Community Hospital. Two of her dearest were Lonnie and Iris. When she retired the outpouring of friends and well-wishers surprised her. There was a steady stream of police officers, ambulance drivers, hospital employees and dear friends as well as family. The ambulance drivers announced their arrival and congrats with "sirens blaring" as she used to say.
After retiring from the hospital she took a part time job at Wanda's Laundry Mat just to keep social. There she met another dear friend Jan.
Dee always watched the news and weather and was known as "the weather lady" by family members as she would always let you know what the day would bring. NASCAR, bull riding, WWF, boxing, and Olympic Ice Skating were always in her T.V. watching menu and she would say nothing is on if she couldn't find one of them.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is survived by them as follows: Her son, William Glenn (Mary) Wolfe whom she lived with the last 3 years and enjoyed their company and their animals. Her daughter, Elizabeth (Keith) Carr, whom she talked to almost every day. They liked to go shopping and just shoot the breeze. Her son, Darrell Wolfe (Wayne Frasier) whom she would like hearing what kind of antiques, garage sales or "cat tales" he would tell her about. Her Grandchildren, Susie (Doug) Wolfe, Shirley Eldred, Nathan (Paula) Carr and Nicklaus (Julie) Carr. Her Great-grandchildren, Shawn, Dallas, Caden, Ryder, Ethan, Isabella and Lillian.

She was loved by many and will be missed but God had His plan for her life and we know she is singing loudly and joyously in a much better place.
