Dolores June Yates passed into eternity January 11, 2016 at age 86. Her last days were surrounded by family, happy memories and a comforting peace. Dolores, known to many as Dee, and to some as Auntie Bubbles had a fun-loving, spunky yet opinionated personality. She loved spending time with her family and her dog. Dolores was born on June 8, 1929 to her parents Stanley A. and Florence (Lupu) Belevender in Highland Park, Michigan. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, David Yates. They were married June 24, 1950 and enjoyed 56 loving years as husband and wife. Dolores was survived by her 3 daughters, Debra (Ken) Barker of Brighton, Cynthia (Kathy Holley) Yates of Brighton, and Janeen Bussema of Richland; 2 sons, David Yates of Flint, and Scott (Donna) Yates of Georgia; 5 grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Pinho, Corey (Matt) Sehee, Lisa (Jeremy) Kuiper, Kevin (Tara) Bussema and Jordan (Alanea) Barker; 6 great grandchildren; Ryan, Sam, Rhiannon, Kellen, Libby and Lane; and a sister, Cindy Ford. Dolores was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Alan Bussema and 4 brothers, Sonny Belevender, Jerry Belevender, Vince Belevender, Denny Belevender. A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Road, Brighton MI 48116. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church.
