Donald Dale Carley, age 85 of Delton, passed away at home Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Don was born in Battle Creek on July 25, 1939, the son of Dale and Winnie (Betts) Carley. He was a truck driver for many years, working for L.C. Howard, A&C Carriers and Davis Oil among others. Don also owned and operated Don Carley and Sons Milk Truck. He loved dairy farms, trucks and talking about dairy farming. Don was a charter member, deacon, and greeter at Hickory Corners Bible Church. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, fishing, and going out to eat.
Don is survived by his sons, Tim (Lori) Carley and Bryan (Onna) Carley; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; friends, Wendell, Charlie, Pastor Rich and his church family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy; two brothers; a daughter, Leisa and a grandchild. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice for their care.
A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Hickory Corners Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help pay for Don’s expenses. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Richland Chapel.
