Donald D. Carstens

Donald D. Carstens passed away with quiet dignity at his home on October 28, 2020. Don was born May 25, 1935, the youngest of eight children to William and Gertrude (Duden) Carstens (both deceased) in Williams, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn; brothers, Herman and William; sisters, Agnes, Evelyn and Dorothy. His surviving brother, Harold resides in Iowa and sister, LaVonne in Tennessee.
Don leaves his wife Linda (Hock), three children, Diane, Linda and Matthew; two stepchildren Tamera and Thomas, six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one great grandchild and canine companion, Sammy.
Following a number of successful business ventures, Don retired to spend his time on his hobbies, shooting, golf and travel.
There will be a family service at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care and a private burial. His family would appreciate remembrance donations to the Humane Society of Southwest Central Michigan or St. Jude Hospital in lieu of cards or flowers.
