Donald L. "Don" Messenger

Donald Lee "Don" Messenger, Sr., age 57, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday evening, August 31, 2016. He was born in Battle Creek on November 26, 1958, the son of Clarence and Viola (Mohr) Messenger. Don was a member of the P.N.A. (Polish National Alliance) of Battle Creek. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his children, Angel S. (Jeremy) Collins, Donald L. Messenger, Jr., Nicholas A. Messenger, and Tobias L. Messenger, all of Battle Creek; his life-companion, Carol Ramos of Battle Creek; a brother, Robert (Sharon) Messenger; 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family. He was sadly preceded in death by his son, Eric Clarence Charles Messenger; his parents; and two brothers, Tony and Clarence Messenger.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 3:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the P.N.A., 15 Clair St., Battle Creek, MI 49014.
