Donna Mae (Jolliff) James, 90, of Battle Creek, Michigan died at home after a lengthy illness.

Donna was born December 12, 1931 in Holmes County, Ohio the daughter of Ralph E. and Dorothy J. (Brown) Jolliff. Donna graduated from Wooster High School and from Aultman School of Nursing. Donna was employed as a registered nurse at the former Leila Y. Post Montgomery Hospital in Battle Creek.

Donna is survived by her brother, Tim (Barb) Jolliff of Massillon, Ohio; two sons, Stanley (Paula) James of Canton, Ohio and Alan (Brenda) James of Kalamazoo, Michigan; two grandchildren, Aaron Shepard of St. Albans, Vermont and Brandy Shepard of Battle Creek, Michigan; three great grandchildren, Sophie and Jasper Shepard of Burlington, Vermont; Callan Simpson of Scotts Valley, California and very close friends, Sheryl and Fred Pessell of Battle Creek. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, David Jolliff and two sisters, Judith (Kenneth) Venosdle and Patty (Jack) Stayer.

Donna loved quilting, knitting and reading. Donna enjoyed taking trips with her sister. She was an avid reader. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and friends.

Per Donna's wishes, her remains will be laid to rest on her parent's grave at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon, Ohio.
