Donna P. Jessup

Donna P. Jessup, age 87, of Marshall and formerly of Battle Creek passed away on Saturday morning, March 23, 2013 at the Oaklawn Hospital, Marshall. She was born in Albion, Michigan on August 28, 1925 the daughter of Floyd F. and M. Lucille (Smith) Osborn and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1944. Donna retired from Post in 1982 after more than 26 years of faithful service in the Research Department.

Donna married Herbert N. Jessup in Sanford, Florida on June 24, 1944; he sadly preceded her in death on October 20, 2009. She is survived by her son, Stephen M. (Sue Ann) Jessup; her daughter, Carole S. (Joe) Tabiadon; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, and 2 sisters, Ilene (James) Woodman and Naomi (James) Satterthwaite. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kerry R. Jessup on October 22, 2004.

Donna was a member Post 25 Year Club, the Battle Creek Ski Club and the AMVETS. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, reading and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. A procession will follow to the chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens where the funeral service to celebrate Donna's life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday.
