Donna Jean Ryan

Donna Jean Ryan, 81, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born May 7, 1934 the daughter of Edwin and Annabelle (Butler) Adams in Hillsdale and was a 1952 graduate of Quincy High School. She married Arthur Roy Ryan August 22, 1953 in Angola, IN. Arthur preceded Donna in 1992.
Donna was a homemaker all of her life only working outside of the home in a shoe factory just before she got married. Her two sons, Garry and Larry Ryan of Battle Creek, and a brother Ed Adams of Beaverton survive her. Daughters Debra and Gloria precede her in death.
Donna enjoyed her soap operas, listening to the radio and reading magazines. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing arts & crafts at the Care Center, Kool Community Center, formerly the Burnham Brook Center. She loved family gatherings.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave N.E. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, November 12, 2015 with Rev Rick Weesner officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy, MI at 10:30 am Friday, November 13, 2015.
