Doris M. Coller

Doris M. Coller, 90, of Bellevue, died December 8, 2020 at home with her family by her side. Doris was born August 1, 1930 in Battle Creek to Fred and Lillian (Disler) Lawrence. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and worked at a dime store from 1945-1949, and as a surgery clerk at Leila Hospital, and Community Hospital for many years. She married Keith Coller on November 18, 1950.

Doris enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. When indoors, she usually could be found in her kitchen preparing meals for family. She especially liked to make raspberry jam from her husband's garden. She also loved to do ceramics and work with flowers.

Doris had a passion for the outdoors, always maintain an immaculate lawn and created beautiful flower beds of all kinds. Doris enjoyed taking trips to town that usually included a stop at one of the local bargain stores; she was always in search of a good buy or deal.

Doris and Keith recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The amount of love Doris and Keith have for each other was immeasurable. Doris loved her husband and family endlessly. Doris was an upbeat gal with a great sense of humor and will forever be missed by her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her husband, Keith; three children, Keith Coller, Jr., Julie Coller and Roger (Debbie) Coller; her grandchildren, Brian (Angela) Coller, Melissa (Nick) Bender, Julie (Ryan) Dickey and Michael DeRyder; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Breslin Bender; two brothers, Fred Lawrence and Irving (Kathy) Lawrence and a sister, Shirley (Jim) Warner.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A private, family only service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A livestream of the service will be available at the following link: https://vimeo.com/490003433.
