Doris Pearl Hutchings

Doris Pearl Hutchings, 93 of Battle Creek, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at Stoneridge Adult Foster Care Home, Bellevue. She was born July 15, 1923 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Ray W. and Bertha (Palmiter) Heckman. Doris was a 1941 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Diana (Mike) Davis of Hastings; two sons, Dennis (Deborah) Hutchings of Bellevue, Daniel (Suze) Hutchings of Freeport; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A grandson and four sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services to celebrate Doris' life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care with Pastor Steve Olmstead of Pleasantview Family Church officiating.
