Doug is survived by his former wife Tiffany Johns-McDonald of Arizona, their sons Brennan and Skylar Johns of Scotts, Michigan, his mother Judy Johns of Florida, and brother Daniel Johns of Madison, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry D. Beebe of Ceresco, Michigan.
Douglas was born on the 5th of July, 1970 in Battle Creek, the son of Larry and Judy Beebe. After Larry was killed in Vietnam, Judy remarried in 1972 and took on the last name Johns.
Doug graduated from Fox Lane High School, Bedford, New York. He continued his education at Western Michigan University and graduated with a BS in Engineering, Computer Systems. He worked at WMU for 25 years finishing as a Sr Network Engineer.
When not working, Doug enjoyed spending time with his boys, camping, kayaking along Michigan’s rivers, maintaining his cars, summer music festivals, bluegrass, and snowboarding with his boys.
A memorial service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care at 11:00 a.m., with family receiving friends for visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
