Edith Irene Sullivan

Edith Irene Sullivan, 85, passed away Monday September 4, 2023 surrounded by her two children and their spouses.

Edith, daughter of Frederick M. and Sara E. (Conaway) Ward, was born in Mobile, AL November 16, 1937.  She moved to this area in 1965.  Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed working in retail.

She and her husband, Sheridan “Sully” enjoyed traveling throughout the Gulf Coast states and Florida during the winter months, settling in Florida for ten years.  She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing on her sewing machine.

Edith was united in marriage to Sheridan “Sully” Sullivan in Pritchard, AL on June 15, 1957.  Surviving are her son, Joseph M. “Matt” (Jennifer) Sullivan, Josh and Erin of East Leroy, MI; daughter, Melissa A. (Christopher) Somers of Kalamazoo, MI and three precious grandchildren, Cooper, Cayden and Kaia Somers; sister, Elizabeth Room of Daphne, AL and brother, Fred M. (Paulette) Ward of Saraland, AL.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sully, son Frederick Jason and her parents.
