Edward Paul Kohne

Edward P. Kohne, 84, of Battle Creek, died March 16, 2016.

Edward was born January 23, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence J. and Marie E. (Bitter) Kohne. He graduated from Homer Community High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Edward married Virginia Crandall Marshall on December 6, 1966

Edward worked for the Eaton Corporation in Marshall for almost 45 years, until he retired.

He was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was active as an Usher, a member of the Altar Guild, and various Bible Study groups. In addition to his involvement with the church he enjoyed reading, watching sports on T.V., playing cards, and getting together with friends and family.

Surviving are his sons, Jon and Alan Marshall; daughters, Lynne Smith and Nancy Knapp; a brother, Warren Kohne, a sister, Pauline Hamil; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his loving wife ,Virginia, on March 29, 2013; grandson, Travis Gauehier, and parents.


A private graveside service will be held to celebrate Edward's life.
