Edward Earl Moore, 76, of Battle Creek, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Edward was born November 25, 1938 in Kalamazoo the son of Lester T. and Esther D. (Wilhelm) Moore. He was a 1956 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Edward served honorably in the US Navy, aboard the USS Tanner AGS-15.
Edward was married to Frances A. (Walsworth) Moore, who preceded him in death in 2004. He was united in marriage in 2006 to Jill Swan-Moore who survives.
Edward worked for 35 years as a stock keeper for Union Pump Company retiring in 2001.
In addition to his wife, Jill, Edward is survived by his sons, Duane Moore of Battle Creek, Brian (Liz) Moore of Delton; daughter, Crystal (Todd) Sandin of Battle Creek; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, of VFW Post #298 and enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and golf.
Graveside memorial services were held 2:30 pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors given.
