Eileen Goodall

Eileen Elizabeth (Bartlett) Goodall, age 85, died peacefully at Kairos Dwelling, Kalamazoo on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Eileen, the daughter of Dr. Curtis H. and Laura L. (Higbee) Bartlett was born in Kirksville, MO on December 2, 1937.  She was a lifetime area resident; a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. She began her business career as the office   manager for her dad, Curtis H. Bartlett, D.O. She retired from ProMed Richland Pediatrics as their office manager. Eileen was a great seamstress and a wonderful 4-H leader who shared her love of sewing. She also loved to travel especially the East Coast and had lots of stories to share about the Boothbay Harbor and Bailey Island areas. Her favorite passion, though was her love of her “puppies”, Nikki, Maggie, and Mitzy. Eileen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma and loved her family dearly. She will be missed by many.

Eileen was united in marriage to Philip Eugene Goodall in Richland, MI on June 16, 1973 and he survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Sheryl D. (Clifford) Mitchell of Janesville, CA and Marjorie A. (James) Hatton of Boynton Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Amanda Nikolaas, Mitchell (Courtney) Nikolaas, Chaz (Emma) Hatton, Bryce Hatton and Corbin Hatton and a great grandson, Mason Hatton.  Additional survivors include four step-daughters, Katherine (David) Suzor of Pontiac, MI, Phyllis (James) Carlin and Joanna (Roger) Barnes, both of Kalamazoo and Rebecca (James) Prevost of Lake Orion, MI; three step-sons, Philip (Marti) Goodall, Jr. of Vicksburg, MI, Robert (Penny Woolf) Goodall of Richland and Timothy (Kathleen) Goodall of Manchester, NH; nineteen step-grandchildren; twenty six step-great grandchildren; six step-great great grandchildren and two sisters, Patricia Scott of Allegan, MI and Rebecca Yaple of Kalamazoo.  Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Cynthia Nikolaas and Barbara Miller.

As per Eileen’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eileen’s honor may be directed to the Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo.  The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Eileen’s family.
