Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Trahan

Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Trahan, age 76, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday evening, November 6, 2013. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 31, 1937, the loving daughter of Vincent and Angelina (Baine) Hurney.

Elizabeth is survived by her beloved children; son, John Trahan of Colorado; three daughters, Terri Lynn Bordash of Flint, Connie (Mark) Binelli of Clio, and Jackie (David) Emenhiser of Battle Creek; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Angelina (Buck) Gwizdola of St. Helen; a brother, Vince (Helen) Hurney of Saginaw, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Trahan in 1987; a brother, Harvey Hurney and a niece, Wendy Donahue.

Elizabeth worked for twenty eight years managing apartment complexes in the Battle Creek area. She created laughter in every situation. She loved her children and grandchildren, cherishing the time she had with them.

A visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Robert G. Muirhead, officiating.
