Betty, age 60, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her residence.
Betty, the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Orr) Neil, was born in Battle Creek on January 22, 1958 and a lifetime area resident. She attended Marshall Schools and graduated from Wright Beauty Academy. Betty had been employed at the salon of JC Penny's and retired from BoRics Salon, due to failing health. She loved to crochet and making homemade pizza, but her true passion in life was spending time with her granddaughters, Abby and Kiley, whom she raised.
Surviving is her son, Craig E. Wiegand; granddaughter, Abbagale R. Wiegand; grandsons, Corbin L. Wiegand and Craig E. Wiegand, Jr.; great grandson, Joshua A. Edwards; her sister, Kim (Sid) McFadden; nephews, Mark (Emily) Ferguson, Sid, Jason and Cody McFadden and her companion for many years, Michele Meyers. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two granddaughters, Nikki M. Wiegand and Kiley E. Wiegand.
As per Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Betty's family.
