Elwin E. "Elvis" Rothwell, age 58, of Battle Creek died peacefully at home on Thursday morning, November 19, 2015. He was born in Battle Creek on January 11, 1957, the son of Harold E. and Beulah R. (Henderson) Rothwell. Elvis retired from Cello-Foil after more than 32 years of faithful service.
Elvis married the "Love of His Life", Kathy L. Osborne in Battle Creek on August 11, 1975; she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Trena (Daniel) Miller of Climax, Tonya (Jason Miller) Rothwell of Battle Creek, and Krissy (Casey Johnson) Rothwell of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Landon Miller, Logan Miller, Colin Miller, Dawson Noaeill, Hailey Miller, and Cayden Noaeill; his sister, Loretta Rothwell; his brother, Charles Rothwell; his brothers-in-law, Kevin & Duane (Stacy) Osborne; his sister-in-law, Judy Rothwell, and a large extended family. Elvis was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wendell & Wade, and his sister & her husband, Elaine & Dewey.
Elvis was truly a family man and enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could. He also enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing, camping and shooting his BB Gun. Elvis worked very hard throughout his life and enjoyed woodworking and working on his house. Elvis was also known as a prankster with a great sense of humor.
The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where a memorial service to celebrate Elvis's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Mott Children's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House at Mott Children's Hospital.
