Emery Thomas "Tom" Stemaly

Emery Thomas “Tom” Stemaly, 47, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Tom was born July 21, 1976 in Battle Creek to Edwin and MaryEtta (Holcomb) Stemaly. He was a 1994 graduate of St. Philip Catholic High School. He worked several jobs, including as a Lyft driver, delivering pizza and as a welder for Freedom Motors. Tom loved sports and followed the Tigers and Lions. He was an excellent bowler and bowled a 300 game. He also enjoyed playing Euchre. 

Tom is survived by his son, Conner James Thomas Stemaly; parents, MaryEtta and Ed Stemaly; stepsister, Michelle Stemaly; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

 Tom’s family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where a service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Tom’s memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or a charity of your choice.
