Emmri Lanea Tullis

December 21, 2010 — February 20, 2022

Emmri Lanea Tullis was born on December, 21st 2010 in Marshall MI to Chelsey Tullis and Mitch Holwerda. February 20th, 2022 she was called home and set free from the earthly struggles she endured. She was described by those who knew her as brave, bold, gentle, patient, and exuberant with a fierce love for life and those around her.

Emmri attended Doris Klaussen for many years, where she loved her teacher Ms. Julie, her classroom aids, and her fellow class mates. She looked forward to school every day, and awaited the bus with all smiles. She was a bright little girl, catching on to all lessons with ease and impressing staff daily. They described her as the happiest little girl they had ever met, and a joy to be around. All who met Emmri share that same sentiment. There wasn't many times she wasn't laughing, smiling, and spreading it to those around her. It was contagious and infectious.

Emmri lived at home with her mother Chelsey, Bonus dad Robert, and little brother Bennett with their 5 beloved pets. Her love for her family, and especially little brother, is something to take note of. She took great pride in being a big sister and was the absolute best. She loved babies and kids, to socialize, and to be startled. Peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek with a scare we're some of her favorite games. She loved watching YouTube, specifically the ACE family and Baby Reborn shows. She also enjoyed thrillers and scary movies.

Emmri enjoyed spending time with her family, the weekends she spent with her Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Danl, and watching her cousins play. Golf cart rides and being pushed as fast as you could run in her wheelchair sparked excitement and laughter, she loved the thrills. Cuddling up and watching Netflix we're a close second.

Emmri got to travel all over the United States and loved taking trips with her family. Some of the places they visited were Tennessee, Gulf shores Alabama, San Diego California, Miami Beach and Panama City Beach Florida. She loved road trips and staying in vacation rentals with a beach front balcony, watching the sun go down and the ocean waves crash .

Emmri was loved worldwide, with a TikTok platform of 1+ million followers that she captured the heart of. Because of her, many were educated and made aware of the virus called CMV that caused her multiple disabilities and ultimately her death. She saved many lives and has an amazing legacy she has left behind.

Emmri is proceeded in death by her father Mitch Holwerda, Grandmother Gail Banker, Great Grandfathers Thomas (Sandy) Conant, Don Dickerson, Great Grand Parents Richard and Luann Butcher, Great Uncle David Conant, Great Grandmother Betty Cook, Cousins Mason Heikes, Tyler Knickerbocker, and David Tullis. She is survived by her parents- Chelsey Tullis and Robert Banker, Brother- Bennett Banker, Grandparents- Pamela Tullis, Bart Dickerson, Scott Tullis, Tammy and Danl Kissinger, Spencer and Mary Holwerda, Donny Banker, Great Grand Parents- Ellen and Jim Featherly, Sandy Conant, Sara Mckinney, Don Dickerson, Uncles- Nate Butcher (Shelby Glover), Logan Holwerda (Torrie), Ty Holwerda, Zachary Tullis, Vaughn Banker, Aunts- Anna (Steve) Homan , Sophia Dickerson, Emma Dickerson, and many cousins.

She is deeply missed by her loved ones and has taught many lessons over her short 11 years on earth. She has changed the lives of many who will never be the same after being graced with her presence. The loss is profound, but the love is also. Her family would like to ask that in honor of her, you spread kindness and remember the beauty that life holds.
