Enis C. Gray

Enis Candida Gray, 91, of Battle Creek, died April 12, 2026. Enis was born on September 21, 1934 in Yatesboro, PA to Carlo and Elena (Lorenzi) Armanini. She graduated from Yatesboro High School and moved to Battle Creek in 1952. A couple of years later she got a job at the Kellogg Company and had a lengthy career there, retiring in 1996. In addition to working at Kellogg’s, Enis graduated from Wright Beauty Academy in 1958 and worked at Merle Norman’s Beauty Shop for many years.

Enis enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking and going to the casino.  

Enis is survived by two daughters, Annette Gray and Launa Gray Farley, a son, Robert (Mickey) Gray and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Gray Sr. and parents and 4 brothers, 1 sister, a daughter, Lisa (Gray) Ward and grandson, Brendan Gray.

Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 12:30 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  A memorial service to celebrate Enis’ life will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., Monday. Inurnment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Battle Creek.
