Erin Marie Hunter

Erin Marie Hunter, age 42, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2023.  She was born in  Battle Creek on April 27, 1981 the loving daughter of Jeffrey L. “Jeff” and Debra A. “Debbie” (Heston) Hunter.  Erin was a graduate of Lakeview High School and Western Michigan University.  She had many career successes over the years.

Erin was preceded in death by her father, Jeff L. Hunter.  She is survived by her life partner, Jacob Hoxie; her mother, Debra Hunter; her sister, Courtney Markos; Jacob’s son, Xavier Hoxie, who she loved as her own; her niece, Haidyn Markos; and two nephews, Hunter and Holden Markos.

Erin did not have children, but loved her niece, nephews, and stepson as her own.  She loved nothing more than the title, Aunt.  You could find her cheering them on with everything they did in life.  She was extremely close to each of them in their own way.

Erin loved her friends and family fiercely, and would do anything for them.  She loved to be on the boat.  She would let everyone know that if they invited her anywhere when it was nice out that she would be on the boat.
