Ethel Marie Snyder

Ethel Marie Snyder, age 91, of Augusta and formerly of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, October 6, 2021. She was born in Battle Creek on September 10, 1930, the loving daughter of Elbert and Elva (Machin) Godde.

Ethel was united in marriage to Clinton D. "Clint" Snyder in Augusta, Michigan on September 25, 1948; he sadly preceded her in death on May 11, 2010. Surviving are her daughter, Elise A. (Robert Salvaggio) Snyder of Augusta; her two sons, Robert D. (Cindy) Snyder of Battle Creek, and Peter J. Snyder of Augusta; her brother, Robert (Nila Jo) Godde; two sisters, Gloria Wellington and Betty Godde; and several nieces & nephews. Ethel was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Cash.

Ethel and her husband Clint, traveled to all 48 continental States during their married life. She also enjoyed talking on the phone, reading, watching the birds, holiday gatherings and spending time with her family.

Funeral services to celebrate Ethel's life will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 15th at the Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Memorial contributions in Ethel's honor may be made to the McKay's Memorial Library, 105 S. Webster Street, Augusta, MI, 49012 or the American Heart Association.
