Evelyn M. Fleece

Evelyn Fleece-Congdon of Augusta, age 91, passed away at Laurels of Bedford on July 18, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. She was a loving and caring person. She was born in Jackson, Mich., on November 22, 1923, and attended Jackson High School. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Her loving husband, Gordon Congdon, survives. Evelyn was preceded in death by two husbands, Victor Fleece and Hubert (Hugh) Klukowski. Evelyn had no children. Her parents, Vincent and Sophia (Jelen) Wassel preceded her in death, as did her two brothers.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held Friday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 229 Collier Ave., preceded by a Rosary Service at 10:15 a.m. A meal will be served at St. Jerome Social Hall following Mass.
