Floella Spells

Floella F. Spells, 82, of Battle Creek, died May 3, 2023.  Floella was born August 4, 1940 in Kalamazoo to Earl and Florence (Meyers) Kimbel.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, crochet and attending Bible studies. 

Floella is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Rothchild and Debra Hall; a special daughter, Kathy Rousch; a sister, Olaina Hull-Mehlan and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Floella was preceded in death by her husband, Errol Spells; her parents; a brother, Earl Kimbel and a sister, Betty Machin.   

As per Floella’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
