Florence A. Niswander

Florence A. Niswander, 77, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Florence was born September 26, 1935 in Adrian, MI to Clayton and Leona (Philo) Damren. She graduated high school and worked at the Fort Custer State Home in Coldwater and at G.H.S. String Instruments for 21 years. She loved to read, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Florence married Robert A. Niswander on December 4, 1954, who survives. Also surviving are her two sons, Charles Niswander and Thomas Niswander of Battle Creek, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda M. Warnes of Battle Creek and Iladel (Robert) Karol of Manchester, NJ, and one brother, William (Anna Mae) Damren of Battle Creek.
Florence was preceded in death by two sons, Robert J. Niswander and Michael S. Niswander; a brother, Clayton P. Damren; a sister, Donna R. Sampson, and her parents.
