Florence Madeline Fisher - Parkinson, 93, of Battle Creek, died January 16, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital Battle Creek.  She was born March 3, 1921 the daughter of Sherman and Edna (Dewey) Biggs in Rensselaer, IN and graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1939.  
     She moved to Battle Creek in 1941.  Florence worked for over 23 years at Consumers Power Company, working in the accounting and billing department from 1950, until her retirement in 1973. 
      Florence M. Biggs was united in marriage to Philip Fisher.  He preceded her in death in 1953.  Florence then was united in marriage to LaVerne Parkinson.   He preceded her in death in 1987.   She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Annette Fisher; grandson, Scott Calhoun; five brothers and sisters and her parents. 
     She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (John) Calhoun and son, Thomas (Janice) Fisher both of Battle Creek; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
       Florence was a member of the Springfield Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and the Kilowatt Kreekers. She enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing all types of card games, working in her gardens, making and eating cookies.
     By her wishes cremation has taken place and the family is planning a graveside service at a later date at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer IN
