Floris A. Andrews

Floris A. Andrews, age 88, of Battle Creek died Wednesday evening, August 26, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek.
She was born in Howell, Michigan on January 21, 1927, the loving daughter of Alva A. and Lillian J. (Buhl) Dickson.

Floris married Robert A. "Bob" Andrews on June 29, 1948 in Howell, MI; he sadly preceded her in death on November 27, 2010. She is survived by her three children, Pam (Bob Toye) Andrews of East Lansing, Al (Michelle) Andrews of Naples, FL and Denise (Bill) Martin of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Cessa and Cori Andrews-McMullen, Haley (Brian) Slagh and Brittany Martin, Rob (Maya DiRado) and Greg Andrews; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Ellery and Conrad Slagh; and her beloved Pomeranian, "Roxxi". Floris was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tom McMullen, and a brother, Stanley Dickson.

Floris was a dedicated member of Westlake Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Sweet Adalines, and a life-member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A true lover of music and her church, Floris enjoyed singing, playing the piano, her dogs, and spending time with her family. Floris was a very talented cake decorator and made every one of her children's wedding cakes.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Westlake Presbyterian Church where a memorial service to celebrate her life will be officiated by Rev. Kate Johnston at 11:00 a.m., Monday. Interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Westlake Presbyterian Church or North Pointe Woods.
