Frances "Lucille" Hibbard

Frances "Lucille" Hibbard, 87, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Frances was born July 7, 1929 at home in Overton County, Tennessee to Joe and Nancy Brown. She married Leo E. Hibbard on August 26, 1950. He sadly preceded her in death in 2005.

Frances loved being with her family, playing cards, spending time with her cats and being outdoors.

Frances is survived by her son, Steven (Bobbi) Hibbard; seven grandchildren, Jeffery (Amanda) Hibbard, Beau (Courtney) Hibbard, Lacy (Duane) Kissinger, Jeremiah (Julie) Dunakin, Tiffany (Raven) Scott, Steven Franklin and Jessica Franklin; ten great-grandchildren, Sadie (Robert) Burbank, Jeffrey Hibbard, Monica Kissinger, Curtis Hibbard, Ellie Hibbard, Jocelyn Dunakin, Jonas Dunakin, Grayson Wood, Makayla Scott and Alex Scott; and her sister, Dean.


Funeral services to celebrate Frances' life will be at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Interment will follow at Newbre Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider The Alzheimer's Association.
