Frances M. "Frannie" Higdon

Frances Muriel (Kessler) "Frannie" Higdon of Richland, MI , age 67, died Thursday morning February 17, 2022 at her residence with her loving husband, Scott, at her side.

Frannie, the daughter of George and Reba (Sisk) Kessler, was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 15, 1955 and moved to this area in 1990 from Pensacola, Fl, where her daughters were born. She was a 1973 graduate of Triton High School and received an Associate's degree in Theology in 1980.

Frannie was a Sign Language Interpreter for many years licensed in Michigan. She was also an avid photographer, especially of nature. Frannie spent over 45 years of her life dedicated to teaching the Bible and spent much time in India and Nepal doing the same. She traveled extensively, especially with her husband and children, to over 25 different countries. She was a pastor too many in her lifetime.

Frannie was united in marriage to Walter Scott Higdon in Emporia, KS on August 8, 1984 and he survives. Also mourning the loss are her daughters, Dr. Alexandra Olivia Higdon and Abigail Katherine Higdon, both of San Diego, CA, and two sisters, Rebecca and Rita, both of Indianapolis, IN. Frannie was preceded in death by her parents.

As per Frannie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held April 9th, 2022 in Richland, Michigan. Please contact the family at wscotthigdon@gmail.com for details.
