Frances Walenga

Frances J. Walenga, 88, of Richland, died May 31, 2014. Frances was born August 15, 1925 in Grand Rapids to James and Wilhelmina (Keller) Stocks. Frances is survived by six children, Kenneth (Becky) Walenga, Jim (Monica) Walenga, Mary Jane (William) Welker, Sandy Walenga, Diane (Peter) Boers and Linda (Rich) Thatcher; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She especially loved spending time with her friends and family.

Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest, an infant daughter, Paula, one brother and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Frances' life will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. Ann Catholic Church, with Father Christopher J. Derda, Celebrant. Interment will be held privately at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland Chapel, 9170 E. D Ave., with the Parish Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church.
