Frances Lebo Weaver, 85, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. Frances was born October 1, 1928 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clarence M. and Louise A. (Wakefield) Elliston. She worked for the Pennfield School System in the kitchen starting in September 1966 and worked for approximately 21 years, retiring in 1987. Frances was united in marriage to William A. Lebo on December 1, 1945 and he preceded her in death October 29, 2002. She then married Carlton G. Weaver on November 14, 2003, he survives.
In addition to her husband, Carl, Frances is survived by a daughter, Cheri (Jerry) Riley of Moneta, VA; a son, Steven (Caryn) Lebo of Christiana, TN; four grandchildren, Troy Riley, Nicole Marzullo, Erin Tubbs, Katie Lebo; nine great-grandchildren; two step-children, Rick Weaver, Lisa Zuck and three step-grandchildren.
Frances and Carlton attended her church, Calvary Baptist Church and on alternate weekends they also attended his church which is Marshall Wesleyan Church.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and playing the piano and loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation for friends is planned for 5-8 pm, Wednesday April 2, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Croy and Pastor Tom Townsend officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Marshall Wesleyan Church or Calvary Baptist Church.
