Francis L. Peake

Francis L. Peake, age 87, of Lacey, Michigan, went to be with the Lord with his loving wife Nora by his side on Friday morning, November 15, 2019. He was born in Hastings, Michigan on December 10, 1931, the son of Ernest and Bethel (Hallock) Peake and faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Francis retired from Michigan Carton after more than 43 years and then went on to serve as a bus driver with the Hastings School District, and also farmed his family farm as well.

Francis married Nora G. Mahar on April 18, 1963. He is survived by his wife of more than 55 years, Nora; his children, Rick Peake, Marcella Titus and Lucinda Titus; his loving grandson, Terry Titus; and two brothers, Richard (Diane) Peake and Ralph Peake. Francis was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, and two sisters.

Francis truly enjoyed farming his land. He also loved to travel, spend time in Florida and spending time with his family.

A memorial service with full military honors to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21st at the Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.
