Francis Charles "Frank" Petroshus

Major Francis Charles "Frank" Petroshus, age 75, died Friday, April 20, 2020 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

He was born on Sept 30, 1944 in Chicago, Ill. and moved to Battle Creek, Michigan in 1956, where he found a love for cars and basketball.

As he made his way through High School at St Phillip (Class of '62) and college at Western Michigan University (Class of '73) he had many jobs including throwing Pizza Pies. Frank graduated with an Engineering degree in 1973, and later returned to school for a graduate degree. His professional career was filled with many accomplishments which took him and his family across the country, including Michigan, Texas, and South Carolina. He was a 20+ year Veteran of the United States Air Force (1988). After Corporate retirement, he cherished restoring old cars, and following his grandkids and their activities.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Genevieve Petroshus. Surviving are his brother, Tim (April) Petroshus of Ohio; sons, Chad (Kathy) Petroshus of Argyle Texas, Ryan (Nicole) Petroshus of Lancaster South Carolina; grandchildren, Brayden, Gavin, and Chad; nieces, Aimee (Chad) Lorentz, Heather (Allen) Lerch; and his former wife, Shirley (Foust) Petroshus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip Roman Catholic Roman Catholic Church 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2021. Following the Mass, a committal service; and Military Honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and Fort Custer National Cemetery Honor Guard will be presented at Fort Custer National Cemetery and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/538819871.
