Frederick E. “Fred” Moore (Clawson), 81, of Nashville, died June 12, 2026. Fred was born on December 6, 1944 in Piqua, OH to Maurice Clawson and Catherine Meeker, who were married and later divorced. Catherine then moved to Battle Creek where she met and married Warren Moore who adopted Fred later in life. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, class of 1963 and later went on and served in country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Fred worked at the Kellogg Company as a boiler operator for over 30 years, retiring in 1995.
Fred married the former Sharlene Wood on June 25, 1966 at the First United Methodist Church in Battle Creek. The couple enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Fred and Sharlene both attended First United Methodist Church and Pennfield Presbyterian Church. He collected model train locomotives and train cars as well as antique clocks and radios.
Fred is survived by Sharlene, Lisa (Jeff) McBrian and grandson Michael McBrian, Sisters Ann (Dave) Climer of Cassopolis, MI and Dr. Catherine Moore of Auburn, MA. Fred was preceded in death by his biological father, his mother and adoptive father.
